LOZA GPR - Mapping Geohazards, Karst, Historic Mine Workings and Geology

Earth Scan was asked to help define a large plunging karst feature in a large open pit gold mine.  The karst tube had collapsed and represented a potential hazard to mine excavations.  Earth Scan was successful in defining the location of this feature in a few days of operation. 

There was no interruption of mine activity.

The same Client requested we attempt to find faults that may be areas of gold mineralization on an exploration site.  The LOZA radar clearly defined areas of faulting.

LOZA is very complimentary to Earth Scan drone magnetometer surveys where magnetic anomalies can be investigated to determine optimum drilling locations.
