WE IMAGE THE SURFACE AND SUBSURFACE OF THE EARTH
DEPTH TO BEDROCK SURVEYS
Earth Scan has conducted numerous projects where depth to bedrock has been an important consideration in designing pipeline routes, HDD river crossings, and also as a way to explore for gravels or determine overburden. Surveys can be conducted through most natural environments with no line preparation and no environmental impact. Several kilometers a day can be acquired in difficult terrains with greater production possible in open areas.
The GPR section below shows coarse boulders and a deep paleochannel down to 27 meters in depth.
The section below is excellent data profiling two stages of sand and gravel deposition over a plunging bedrock horizon. Note the highly fractured bedrock high, as well as the fracture zone that represents risk to a directionally drilled pipe installation.
